We've seen 12 new campaign promo releases since the launch of Empires On The Rise, and these campaign promo card releases have finally come to a conclusion. This bounty of options has brought a number of options for spikes and brewers alike, with a selection of competitive staples and tantalising build-arounds.
But how have these cards landed, and which ones are still waiting for attention?
Guardian **
AP 50
At the start of the game, after mulligans, you can draw 1 additional card. If you are the second turn player, you can draw an additional 2 cards in your first reinforce phase.
(Consume 10)
If your Warlord destroys a Warrior, by battle this turn, you can target 1 Fortified card in your discard pile that shares the same Legion as your Warlord, and set the targeted card face-down to your side of the field
Fortified ***
(Bloodbourne 7)
Target 1 Warrior in your discard pile, and Revive the targeted Warrior to your side of the field. The Revived Warrior gains (Wisdom) and (Shockwave).
If this card is in your discard pile, except the turn it was sent there, you can pay (Bloodborune 7), and eradicate this card face-up. Then, if you do, Revive 1 Warrior from your discard pile to your side of the field. The revived warrior gains (Wisdom) and (Shockwave)
The first campaign promos from EOR brought an immediate change to the competitive landscape, with Galterius, The Wayfaring Knight's second turn ability making him a fantastic sideboard option in many different competitive lists. Any archetype not significantly reliant on their guardian has the ability to switch out for Galterius in the second games to find the card advantage needed to break through some powerful first turn board setups. Galterius has even found his way into the main deck guardian slot of certain Warlords that can take advantage of the powerful card advantage in game one effectively.
Gone But Never Forgotten hasn't become the broadly powerful staple in the same way as Galterius, but has become a solid value piece in lists that can easily mill or discard it for later value, such as in Undead or Dwarves, and powerful in lists where triggering a perish ability consistently and repeatedly on an opponent's turn can be anywhere from useful to backbreaking, such as with Cerebral, The Bound Seraphim Mind, Lost Messiah Sentry, Crucidel, or with Kessler, The Void Walker Warlock.
Unified **
(Bloodbourne 20)
As an additional cost to play this card, discard 2 cards from your hand.
Send all Warriors on the field to their respective discard piles, then if you do, negate all (Perish) Keyword Abilities until the end of the turn.
Warrior ***
Atk: 1
(Fierce) - (This Warrior does not take damage by battle involving other Warriors)
(Perish) - "Target 1 card on the field, and destroy the targeted card."
Compared to the powerhouses of the first round of campaign promos, Ignite The Night and Brutus, The World Barbarian have not seen the same level of competitive attention. Brutus, The World Barbarian is a nice option for bounty lists such as Marianas, as a sticky warrior that takes another card with him when destroyed.
Ignite The Night is an expensive board wipe, which can be useful for breaking sticky board states, such as against Angels, the Esmerelda, The Grimm Necromancer + Prysm, Soul-Collector Of The Grimm loop in Mortis, or with Quake, The Unstoppable Terra Stone loop in Gaia. Whilst many lists have access to tools that can break through these loops or board states such as with bounce, shuffle, eradicate, or send effects, decks such as Sh'lara can struggle to break through these boards, whilst also having the DCM and card advantage needed to be able to consistently activate Ignite.
Unified - ACT **
Static: Cards cannot be discarded from your hand by opposing player's card effects.
Once per turn: You can place 1 card from your hand on the bottom of your deck, then if you do, draw 1 card
If this face-up card is destroyed by an opposing player's card effect, you can place this card on the bottom of your deck, and if you do, draw 1 card.
Fortified ***
(Bloodbourne 8)
Negate the Conscription of a Warrior with a Keyword Ability, and if you do, eradicate that Warrior face-down.
Draw 1 card
If this face-down card is destroyed by an opposing player's card effect, you can target 1 card on the field, and eradicate the targeted card face-down.
Peace Of Mind and Final Resting Place once again have become popular and useful pieces in a variety of deck lists. Decks looking for an extra degree of card selection can benefit from Peace Of Mind, helping to trade away certain cards to better assist in certain match-ups. The destruction effect is a small one that helps maintain card advantage against destruction effects, and can also play well with tools such as Betrayal From Within.
Peace Of Mind can also be a niche but useful sideboard piece in match-ups where you're opponent may be trying to rip apart your hand with discard effects, such as Onoskelis.
Final Resting Place is a much more generic piece, as a generic warrior negate in any list. I'm personally a big fan of the card, being able to eradicate your opponent's once per turn conscription, whilst netting a card to replace it. That being said, the card is certainly not a needed main deck piece, but can be a useful include in your sideboard against decks with incredibly powerful warriors that need to be kept off of the field, or against decks looking to loop, sacrifice, and recur warriors repeatedly for value.
Unified **
(Consume 10)
Reduce the (DCM) of all Warlords by 10, then your Warlord cannot take any effect damage until the start of your next turn.
If your Guardian is "Viviana, The Festival Royalty", you can also, search your deck for 1 "Alburdunn" Bounty Realm card, and if you do, add the searched card to your hand.
You can only activate "Alburdunn's Mayoral Announcement" once per turn.
Unified ***
(Consume 10)
You can only play this card if you control at least 1 Bounty Realm Warrior
Search your deck for 1 Bounty Realm Warrior with the attack of 3 or more, and Conscript the searched Wariror to your side of the field. The Warrior Conscripted by this effect gains the following Keyword Abilities:
(Charisma) and (Encore) - (Once per turn, you can pay (Bloodbourne 10), and if you do, this Warrior can make 1 additional attack.)
Alburdunn's Mayoral Announcement and Become A Showman were not legal for the October 14 Booster House siege series event, but Alburdunn's Mayoral Announcement had a big showing at the November 25 Nerdz Cafe siege series, as a much needed tool for dealing with aggressive burn strategies such as Adramalech Black Magic Burn, Castiel Lost Messiah Tempo, or for the rampage damage from Sharn Boars Aggro.
Become A Showman is a unique card for brewers interested in building around Alburdunn's Big Top Circus, but has yet to show any competitive potential, with it's restrictions and difficult deck building requirements.
Fortified **
(Bloodbourne 8)
This card must be activated during an opponent's Reinforce Phase
For the remainder of the turn, no players can Manifest Warrior Tokens
If this card is in your discard pile, except the turn it was sent there, you can eradicate this card face-up and target a player that controls Warrior Tokens, then if you do, for the remainder of the turn, the targeted player cannot attack with any Warrior Tokens
Guardian ***
AP 50
At the start of the game, after mulligans, you can reveal the top card of your deck, if the revealed card is a "Twilight" Bounty Realm card, add the revealed card to your hand, if it is any other card, send the revealed card to the discard pile. If you are the second turn player, this Guardian starts with 20 more Alchemy Points
(Consume 20)
If your Warlord uses their Special Ability (SA), for the first time this turn, you can search your deck for up to 2 "Twilight" Bounty Realm cards, and add the searched cards to your hand.
Shackle The Summoner is a brutal and much awaited tech card for hating on token focused strategies such as Sharn Boars or Mythic Beasts, but has yet to see an opportunity for tournament play, with it not being legal at the most recent siege series event. In future tournament events, Shackle will likely be a key sideboard piece for hating out various high tier strategies, and for now it can be a great sideboard option depending on your local metagame.
Amaryllis, The Twilight Maiden is an interesting guardian option, that will likely become more powerful as more Twilight cards are released in future sets. For the time being, Amaryllis is a unique option for brewers, but not quite yet competitively viable.
You can read more thoughts about Shackle and Amaryllis here!
Unified **
(Consume 5)
Reduce the (DCM) of your Warlord by 10+X, where X is the total number of "Brackus" Bounty Realm cards in all player's discard piles.
If this card is in your discard pile, you can eradicate this card face-up and pay (Consume 5), then if you do, search your deck for up to 3 "Brackus" Bounty Realm cards with different names, and add the searched cards to your hand.
You can only activate each effect of "Healing Herbs Of The Brackus" once per turn.
Warrior ***
Atk: 1
(Swift) - (During either player's turn, you can reveal this card from your hand and pay (Consume 5); Conscript this warrior from your hand.)
(Perish) - "You can pay (Bloodbourne 12), and if you do, all players cannot activate Unified cards for the remainder of the turn.
The most recent, and final round of our campaign promos for Empires On The Rise, Healing Herbs Of The Brackus and Kessler, The Void Walker Warlock offer a selection of interesting build arounds, especially for Bounty lists such as Marianas. These cards will take a bit more work to flesh out competitively, but both offer fascinating synergies for any brewer willing to take the plunge.

Whilst some of these promos haven't made a significant splash in competitive play, these campaign promos have overall contributed to reshaping and redefining the texture of competitive play post-EOR.
Alburdunn's Mayoral Announcement has become a staple mist effect against the plentiful and powerful effect damage focused lists such as Adramelech Black Magic and Castiel Lost Messiah, which have found high placements early on in the EOR meta.
Galterius, The Wayfaring Knight has helped to push back the play-draw disparity, with incredibly interesting deck-building and post-sideboard decision making.
Shackle The Summoner is one of the promos which has yet to be legal in a tournament setting, but will certainly offer a powerful disruption piece against some of of the strongest archetypes in the game focusing around Tokens. With the promo card run ending, it'll be fascinating to see how the meta boils down and stabilises before the release of the next major set or SRL list update.
