The Plebe format has had it's first 3 official tournaments, and I think it's about time to check out what the early days of the Plebe Metagame look like.
We've got 3 tournaments of data to explore, so let's check out what's been getting results, and what's been showing up in Plebe so far.
For a new format, there's expectedly a lot of experimentation, and some neat/niche deck archetypes getting explored, like Dark Wood and Brackus. Many well performing decks from constructed are also showing up quite confidently here, as well as some that haven't quite found their footing in constructed.
At an early estimation, the top 4 from the Flints CCG look like some of the most refined options currently available, but Ful'Tigra and Sh'Lara also look notably powerful with a rarity restriction.
It's still early in the meta so trying to pick out top decks by results is an ineffective process, but we can more easily check out what decks are getting attention.
Ful'Tigra Fandorian Midrange and Marianas Pirate Aggro are the top 2 decks for popularity, with Mortis Grimm Midrange, Castiel Lost Messiah Tempo, Angelica Rogue Tempo, and Rosaline Vampire Aggro all tied for third place. While the two Structure Deck Warlords are far and away the most popular options, it's unsurprising to see with both featuring strong structure decks, which can easily be built into a Plebe ready build.
Ful'Tigra especially is a great option for anyone interested in the format with 2/3 of our tournaments having her show up in the top 4.
The format does also look fast, with less than 15% of decks being control, with over 40% being aggro. It'll be interesting to see if any control lists pop out of the woodwork once the format is further explored, but for now things look fast.
Stand-Out ARchetypes
Many of the stand out archetypes so far aren't too surprising. Fandorians, Pirates, Grimm, Lost Messiah, Rogue, and Vampire decks all look great so far. Alehouse seems interesting too, leaning into an even more aggressive direction then Constructed.
Sh'Lara Mystic Fire Ramp, and Quartzheart Blastforge Aggro are two decks I do think are currently underexplored meta-wise. Sh'Lara doesn't lose too much apart from Abraxis on the high rarity end, and Curious Eyes, The Mystic Fire Imp is a fantastic Renown choice for the deck. Blastforge almost doesn't need a Renown, but Mount Fingar, The Frozen Peak is a solid piece to get access to other strong recovery cards.
Plebe Structure Deck Upgrades
As mentioned, Ful'Tigra Fandorian Midrange and Marianas Pirate Aggro are two of the most popular decks in the format, and they're a great way to start playing with both decks being easy to adjust from the structure deck builds!
Ful'Tigra offers a great midrange list with the ability to grind out games with powerful boards and massive Warriors, while Marianas gives you a fast aggro deck able to end the game on the spot on veil pierce, or even earlier thanks to some of the best Ancient Relics. Both of these decks are also quite flexible in what Renown you run with them.
For Fandos, Ful'Falx, The Fandorian Gladiator is a fantastic way to end the game, but Fandorian Impunity and Fandorian Overwintering are other great alternatives that strengthen the defensive core of the deck. For Pirates, Track-Line Cannon is a strong repeatable removal option, but Marks Of The Chosen can also give the deck more early aggressive power, and Majik Void Aurora can be a one-sided stax piece to limit your opponent's options.
