As we head into the release of Elder Legends: Providence, what decks look potentially exciting with new potential additions?

If there's any archetype I could wax poetic about endless, it's this one, and with two Castiel lists making top 8 in the recent War Of Attrition #2, I thought it'd be helpful to compile a shorter list of tips on playing this divine powerhouse of an archetype. Lost Messiah Tempo is at it's base a burn deck, looking to turn an early board advantage into a quick burn kill on veil pierce thanks to Castiel's Special Ability: Oblation. In terms of surviving early, you're looking for a few key cards to help you start drawing cards, especially Chaos Divine Reconnaissance, Help From The Chaos Divine, and Kabshiel's Favours For The Seraphim. If you don't have some of these pieces, Acceleration Into The Chaos Divine and your card draw Warriors can help to find them.
Early Tips & Playlines
With your Guardians post-mulligan ability, Sigrid, Avenger Of The Lost Messiah, you'll be looking for the same line 99% of the time. Eradicating Oath To The Lost Messiah allows you to tutor up Empyrean Empire Of The Lost Messiah as a strong Holy Counter generator. If Oath is in your opening hand, you can eradicate Acceleration Into The Chaos Divine to eradicate the Oath in your hand.
Speaking of Empire, it's one of your strongest tools for card selection, putting Warriors in play, removing problematic cards, and keeping your boardstate safe. That being said, sometimes it's better to save the AP for other important cards like Bow Of The Archangel and Radiant Orb Of Divine Light.
Bow Of The Archangel is one of the strongest cards to have set going into your turn 3 kill, being able to knock out 3 cards at the end of your opponent's turn. In combination with Freelia, this can completely shut down a backline.
Late Tips & Playlines
Lost Messiah Corrupt-Sword, Freelia is a key piece for the deck with the (Rift) ability to destroy opposing player's fortified cards, especially off of Veil Pierce. If you get the chance, this is easily the best card to shuffle back into your deck with Mists From The Fata Morgana or any other effect.
Your best way to build up Holy Counters for your Oblation kill is with Halo Of The Lost Messiah, each one you eradicate lets you dump up to 15 Holy Counters onto your Warriors, so it's worth saving them for your turn 3.

Mortis likes dead things, especially throwing those dead things at his opponents. Mortis Grimm Midrange is a deck that uses the discard pile like no other. Just flip your deck upside down, and get all the value.
To get his deadly engine going there are some notable cards you want to see early. Gifts From The Grave being the most useful early game start, though it falls off hard past the first couple of turns. Sir Grimm Crimson, The Undead Prince on the other hand is always good, and he helps the dead keep walking with endless card advantage. Having 1-2 revive effects in hand like Windmill Of Corpses or Across The River Styx to start, allows him to keep giving you want you need.
Early Tips & Playlines
The deck is mostly broken into three parts: cards that mill, cards that do things when milled or in discard, and Warriors. your first turn you want to start milling and using this to gain access to more of your deck. The deck is largely left to its own demise, relying on more luck then others by milling but has many cards that fill the same role to help mediate this.
Besides just throwing your deck into the discard pile, its always good to draw cards too. Grimmace, The Grimm Princess and Agatha, Ancient Girl Of The Grimm being revived a few times helps keep your hand full.
Prysm, Soul-Collector Of The Grimm and Esmeralda, The Grimm Necromancer not only bring their dead friends back but each other. This allows you to loop your undead army until you can't kill them anymore.
Late Tips & Playlines
Generally once you have the set up and the opening, you want to use Slow But Grimm Decay to finish off your opponent. Mortis' Special Ability can help clear your board to add some extra damage or you can try to stick a Spores From The Suffering Cyprus to finish the job.
If you find you don't have the ability to push to much damage it might be best to make sure you have the Prysm and Esmeralda loop or ways to restart it, with Gone But Never Forgotten being the best option to do so.
you will find that your deck gets flipped pretty quick once the ball gets rolling. Try to be aware of what you have access to and what you might not be able to use with no cards in deck. That being said, with no deck and Across The River Styx plus Sir Grimm Crimson, The Undead Prince you can set up pretty much any play you need.

Prometheus is a deck that utilizes the eradication zone to the fullest. He can be built to varying degrees from aggro to midrange. though they all use the same key cards to reach his goal. The deck has a lot of draw power, and in your starting hand you really want to see as many copies of Titan Tumble and Primordial's Steal Godly Treasures as possible. These 2 cards allow you to dig into the decks many options. The real star of the show however, is Primordial Prophet Of Light, Phoebe! She is amazing to see at any stage of the game. The new Primordial Reckoning being a good card to open to stop your opponent's key Fortified cards also revives Phoebe with it's eradication effect.
Early Tips & Playlines
you often want to have your Warriors in your eradication zone so you can get them when ever you need, Strength Of Atlas is the all-star for this as it eradicates Warriors for cost.
In the first couple of turns you want to get to a point of having about half to 2/3 of your deck in Eradication. One of my favorite opening plays is using Primordial's Steal Godly Treasures to draw 2, but more importantly to eradicate an Opening The Primordial Pits from hand to use its effect for free to eradicate 10 cards. This can snow ball into more effects and card advantage, or open up your options by knowing where more cards are and what your next move should be.
As you might know we can end up paying a lot of life to gain our card advantage, so it's good to use Titan Temper and Treasures Of Arion to help keep your health at a manageable level.
Late Tips & Playlines
Be careful not to over extend as you will have cards that need to eradicate cards from your deck to use, such as Return Of The Primordials. This is a prime example of the fine line you can find yourself in between cards in eradication and deck as Prometheus.
Some key cards to help shuffle cards back into your deck are Treasures Of Arion and Ethereal Watchtowers. Watchtowers admittedly can be hard to use, but don't under value even shuffling 1-2 cards over the course of the game. Treasures Of Arion only shuffles back Arion cards, but this is often good enough.
Your main win condition is generally to find Creationist Power Of The Primordials and to use Prometheus' Special Ability to really hit hard. The best way to do this is (if Creationist Power is not in your hand) is to leave it in eradication until you know you can make use of it. Gifts Of Arion is your main way to do this, but Rise Of The Banished Primordials works too.
