With Masquerade Of The Macabre and Wintertide Wonders both hitting the Metagame, let's see what some of the earliest targets for adjustment are right off the bat.
Right off the bat, two existing strong lists with a powerful first impression in the Wintertide metagame get their top end tuned down.
The first LRAW Renown Rare card to enter the SRL list, Twilight Lotus is a card that's popped up occasionally for it's ability to activate a Unified Card for free. While it hasn't been used too frequently, it's most recently been used in combination with Ancient Relic - Eyes Of Ephideon and Loot The Reliquary: two cards with expensive Bloodbourne/Consume costs.
Specifically these two cards offer a huge amount of consistency for bounty engine decks, while Twilight Lotus is also easily accessible off of Twilight Princess, Hyacinth. As such, it's not too surprising to see this Suspended to heavily limit the consistency of these Bounty lists behind taxing Bloodbourne and Consume cost cards.
Path To Middiogin Majik has been a constant powerhouse in Majik based Bounty lists, notably popping up in older Majik Mask stax lists using Path as a tool to constantly setup 5 Majik Mask pieces in the discard pile to easily revive for value.
With the ability to targeted tutor 5 cards to the discard pile, Path often picked up 5 cards worth of value regardless of what gets hit by the secondary reveal effect, so it's not ultimately surprising to see it tuned down following the power of Majik Midrange at the recent Siege Series tournament. Especially with Majik Mask likely receiving more pieces in future sets for Merryman, it's not surprising to see Path hit as a too-consistent starter for the archetype.
A constant powerhouse engine in Mal'ady, Horrix has been a powerful piece for any Mal'ady deck looking to loop it repeatedly. With the continued success of Mal'ady, including in the most recent Siege Series, Horrix has finally eaten a full suspension.
In Garden Stax builds and other lists running Meg'Saria in the Guardian Slot, Horrix constantly starts the game ready to go in discard, and more pure Mal'ady lists have shown the ability to dig through their entire list as early as turn one.
While Mal'ady will likely pick up more engine pieces in the future, Horrix has proven to be too powerful of an enabler.
A few more lists have 1 very Legion relevant card getting hit, and 2 archetypes getting slightly adjusted.
In every Angel deck, Chaos Divine Reconnaissance has been a powerful draw piece, especially in lists building around the capability of triggering it repeatedly. The most explosive iteration of this can be seen again in the most recent Siege Series with Joran's incredibly ACT light list.
While Angels haven't been too prominent in the metagame so far, Chaos Divine Reconnaissance has been ever-present and it'll be interesting to see how Angel lists adapt, potentially moving back towards more ACT and less Warrior heavy decklists.
A solid piece in the Lost Messiah Archetype, Halo Of The Lost Messiah is being removed from the SRL list and returning it's third copy. This change shouldn't drastically effect the position of Castiel in the metagame, but is a nice little buff for the more focused in-archetype build.
With the addition of Leona and Scepter Of The Lost Messiah in Wintertide, the deck should continue to hold a solid position and with the hit to Chaos Divine Reconnaissance is encouraged to be more in on archetypal tools then ever before.
The last piece here hit is Black Magic Soul Army. I'm not sure about this hit, with Black Magic not having a huge showing in the recent metagame, but the list has picked up new archetypal pieces with two more Tomes in Masquerade Of The Macabre, as well as non-archetypal considerations like Beatrice, Grace Of The Hell-Plains for another potential Rift Demon Warrior.
With these changes, it'll be interesting to see how Adramelech performs in the new metagame
